The New England Patriots are in a unique position to be buyers and sellers at the trade deadline.
On one hand, they’re a rebuilding football team that would be better off shedding talent they don’t view as having a long-term future with the franchise. However, there’s also the other side where rookie quarterback Drake Maye is quickly establishing himself as a player the team should be building around right away.
The Patriots shouldn’t head into this trade deadline with the mentality of only being sellers. They need to make whatever moves possible to give Maye and the team a fighting chance. Even with the playoffs likely out of reach, the team should focus on rebuilding the winning culture in New England, and that starts with finding the right players and winning football games.
The trade deadline is set for Tuesday, November 5 at 4:00 p.m. ET. Stay tuned to Patriots Wire as we bring the latest news and analysis of any moves made ahead of the deadline.
