Game statuses for Sunday’s 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff at Levi’s Stadium.
The New England Patriots will travel to the West Coast down three.
Offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, guard Michael Jordan and cornerback Alex Austin have been ruled out ahead of Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Each remained non-participants throughout preparations for the reigning NFC champions.
An additional four members of the active roster, including linemen Caedan Wallace and Sidy Sow, move forward as questionable.
Here’s the rest of the game statuses for the 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff at Levi’s Stadium.
OUT
Patriots
- OT Vederian Lowe (knee)
- G Michael Jordan (ankle)
- CB Alex Austin (ankle)
49ers
- DT Javon Hargrave (triceps)
- LB Curtis Robinson (knee)
A knee injury will officially keep Lowe sidelined for back-to-back contests. His absence from left tackle spot was followed by Jordan’s exit from the left guard spot in what became a 24-3 loss to the New York Jets. Head coach Jerod Mayo’s side now travels to Santa Clara without the September O-line starters as well as a sophomore in the cornerback room. Austin exited the secondary last Thursday night with an ankle issue.
QUESTIONABLE
Patriots
- OT Caedan Wallace (knee)
- G Sidy Sow (ankle)
- LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder)
- CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder)
49ers
- WR Deebo Samuel (calf)
- OT Trent Williams (illness, toe)
- DT Jordan Elliott (foot)
- LB Dee Winters (ankle)
- S Talanoa Hufanga (ankle)
Wallace notched his first career start on the blindside in last week’s AFC East matchup at MetLife Stadium. The Penn State product, selected No. 68 overall in the 2024 NFL draft, stayed in for 38 offensive snaps before departing due to a knee injury. He returned to practice in a limited capacity for three consecutive days. The same availability would hold true for Sow. The left guard, who started 13 games as a Patriots rookie last season, recently made his way back to the backfields following an ankle injury suffered in the preseason finale. Jennings and Jones round out New England’s questionable. Both defensive starters, both dealing with shoulder injuries, also finished as partial participants.
But tight end Hunter Henry, right tackle Mike Onwenu, cornerback Christian Gonzalez and safety Jabrill Peppers all cleared the injury report. On the other side of the aisle, 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and tight end George Kittle will also go without game designations while an 11-time Pro Bowl left tackle did not practice Friday due to a toe injury.
