The Patriots will close out their season at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
Two weeks after last meeting the Buffalo Bills, the New England Patriots will once again square off against their AFC East rivals. The circumstances surrounding this coming game, however, differ drastically from the 24-21 Bills win in Week 16.
On the one hand, you have a Patriots team currently in possession of the first overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. For them, a loss against Buffalo secures that valuable selection. The Bills, meanwhile, have already locked up the No. 2 playoff seed in the AFC. As a result, both teams might be inclined to rely mostly on their backups and depth players on Sunday.
Kickoff for the Patriots’ season finale at Gillette has been set for 1 p.m. ET on Jan. 5.
