The first injury report heading into Week 16 at Highmark Stadium.
The New England Patriots turned the page to the Buffalo Bills without three.
Running back JaMycal Hasty, cornerback Marcus Jones as well as safety and captain Kyle Dugger did not participate in Wednesday’s practice in Foxborough. Rookie wide receiver Javon Baker returned, however, after spending last week in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Here’s the first injury report leading up to Sunday’s flexed 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff at Highmark Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- RB JaMycal Hasty (ankle)
- CB Marcus Jones (hip)
- S Kyle Dugger (ankle, illness)
Bills
- No players listed
Dugger missed practice due to an illness in addition to an ankle injury. The latter has kept him listed as questionable since returning from a three-game absence in late October. The starting safety played all 70 defensive snaps during what became a 30-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals last weekend. The visit to State Farm Stadium saw Jones total one catch, one punt return and six tackles. The 2022 first-team All-Pro selection handled half of the workload at cornerback and joined the sidelined on Wednesday due to a hip injury.

The Patriots returned to the fields with nine limited. Baker, who missed the previous three practices with a concussion, would be among them after being downgraded to out on last week’s final injury report. Elsewhere, a pair of offensive linemen working back from reserve lists also remained partial participants. Wallace recently saw his 21-day activation window after residing on injured reserve due to an ankle issue since the calendar turned to October. In addition to the rookie tackle out of Penn State, Strange’s ramp-up continues following last season’s torn patellar tendon. The 27-game starter at left guard officially returned to the 53-man roster prior to the team’s trip to Glendale. But he went from the physically unable to perform list to the inactives list 90 minutes before kickoff.
