The Patriots offense has some life.
After scoring 10 points on its first two possessions of its Week 7 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the New England Patriots offense had a hard time getting anything else going for two quarters. Then, with 10 minutes left in the game and the Patriots down 15 points, the unit suddenly began showing some life again.
The catalyst behind the resurgence? Quarterback Drake Maye, who connected on big plays to tight end Hunter Henry and wide receiver Kayshon Boutte to move New England back into scoring territory for the first time since the early second period.
He capped off the drive by connecting with wideout K.J. Osborn from 22 yards out for a touchdown. The play did not just turn a 3rd-and-15 into a score, it also allowed New England to have some hope again.
Unfortunately, the subsequent two-point try fell incomplete to keep the score at 25-16.
