As the New England Patriots returned to the practice fields in Foxborough on Thursday, so did Marcus Jones.
The slot corner and punt returner made his way back as a limited participant after missing the previous session due to a groin injury and an illness. But starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson and left tackle Vederian Lowe remained absent for head coach Jerod Mayo’s London-bound roster.
Here’s the second injury report ahead of Sunday’s 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium.

Stevenson has missed five consecutive practices after sustaining a foot injury against the Miami Dolphins as the calendar turned to October. He was ruled out on the final injury report of last week as the backfield depth chart went with Antonio Gibson, JaMycal Hasty and standard elevation Terrell Jennings versus the Houston Texans. And before halftime of what became a 41-21 loss at Gillette Stadium, Lowe departed from the left tackle spot with an ankle injury and was downgraded to out. As a result, the starting offensive line projects to have its seventh different combination in as many games this season.

Marcus Jones intercepted his first pass of the campaign last weekend and joined a secondary-heavy group of seven limited on Thursday. The past All-Pro returner has handled 57.6 percent of the snaps on defense and 13.9 percent of the snaps on special teams in 2024. Elsewhere for New England, an August waiver claim in Jacobs was added to the partial participants. The undrafted rookie by way of Penn State is dealing with a knee issue.

A long list of full participants grew longer for the Patriots on Thursday. Godchaux at nose tackle, Bolden at cornerback and Mapu at safety all ramped up their workloads in practice after previously being listed as limited. And the rookie under center was among those to stay in that capacity. Maye had popped up on the injury report with a knee ailment the afternoon prior. The No. 3 overall pick out of North Carolina completed 20-of-33 passes for 243 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in his starting debut.
