The first injury report heading into Week 7 at Wembley Stadium.
The New England Patriots began preparations for the Jacksonville Jaguars down three starters.
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson’s absence from practice continued on Wednesday after being ruled out last week due to a foot injury. Left tackle Vederian Lowe and nickelback Marcus Jones also were non-participants in Foxborough as the trip to London nears.
Here’s the first injury report heading into Sunday’s 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff at Wembley Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot)
- OT Vederian Lowe (ankle)
- CB Marcus Jones (groin, illness)
Jaguars
- No players listed
With No. 38 sidelined, undrafted rookie Terrell Jennings was elevated from the practice squad on the eve of what became a 41-21 loss to the Houston Texans. The active backfield depth chart also included veterans Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty. But on the blindside last Sunday at Gillette Stadium, Lowe exited with an ankle injury in the second quarter and was downgraded to out. And on a deflection in the end zone, Jones intercepted his third career pass while playing 45 percent of the defensive snaps. The slot corner and past All-Pro returner carried a questionable game status due to a groin issue and is now dealing with an illness.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- G Michael Jordan (ankle)
- DT Davon Godchaux (elbow)
- LB Sione Takitaki (knee)
- CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder)
- CB Marco Wilson (groin)
- CB Isaiah Bolden (hamstring)
- S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
- S Marte Mapu (knee)
Jaguars
- RB Travis Etienne Jr. (hamstring)
- WR Gabe Davis (knee)
- TE Evan Engram (hamstring)
- DE Arik Armstead (shoulder)
- CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring)
In addition to attrition at left tackle, the Patriots also had to fill the gap at left guard last Sunday. Jordan went down with an ankle injury of his own in the second half. September’s 53-man promotion would make his way back for the final 15 offensive snaps. And in the secondary, Mapu was announced as questionable to return in the second quarter due to a neck injury. He would. The Sacramento State product began 2024 on injured reserve due to a calf issue and has since started back-to-back games while splitting a sack, forcing a fumble and breaking up a pair of passes.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- QB Drake Maye (knee)
- WR Kendrick Bourne (knee)
- WR K.J. Osborn (shoulder)
- LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder)
- LS Joe Cardona (calf)
Jaguars
- OT Anton Harrison (knee)
Five went in full for the Patriots on Wednesday while working through issues. Count the rookie under center among them. Now listed with a knee ailment, Maye played all 66 downs in his starting debut on the way to throwing the initial three touchdowns and two interceptions of his NFL career. Veterans Bourne and Osborn also practiced in full for the receiving corps. And so did the the captain of the kicking game in Cardona, who had been downgraded to out last weekend because of a calf injury as well as personal reasons.
