The first injury report heading into Week 8 at Gillette Stadium.
The New England Patriots began AFC East work on the New York Jets down seven.
Running back Rhamondre Stevenson, wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, guard Layden Robinson, defensive end Keion White, as well as linebackers Anfernee Jennings and Curtis Jacobs all were sidelined from Wednesday’s practice in Foxborough.
Here’s the first injury report heading into Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot, personal)
- WR Ja’Lynn Polk (concussion)
- OT Vederian Lowe (ankle)
- G Layden Robinson (ankle)
- LB Curtis Jacobs (knee, illness)
- LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder, knee)
- DE Keion White (ankle)
Jets
- WR Allen Lazard (chest)
- G Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle)
- DT Leki Fotu (knee)
- S Tony Adams (hamstring)
- S Ashtyn Davis (concussion)
After dealing with a foot injury, Stevenson returned to practice in London and logged 25 scrimmage yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The lead running back’s absence on Wednesday, however, was not related to injury. But at left tackle, Lowe remained a non-participant after being downgraded ahead of the trip to Wembley Stadium. Rookies in Polk and Robinson exited the game while there. The former has since entered the NFL’s concussion protocol. And as for White off the edges, No. 99 stayed sidelined to begin the week because of an ankle issue of his own. He played a season-low 69 percent of the defensive snaps in what became a 32-16 loss.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- G Michael Jordan (ankle)
- G Sidy Sow (illness)
- LB Sione Takitaki (knee)
- CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder)
- S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
- S Marte Mapu (neck)
Jets
- QB Aaron Rodgers (knee, hamstring)
- OT Tyron Smith (veteran rest)
- OT Morgan Moses (knee)
- DE Will McDonald IV (shoulder)
- LB Quincy Williams (neck)
- CB Michael Carter II (back)
Six practiced in a limited capacity for the Patriots on Wednesday. Of whom, only Takitaki resided among the team’s inactives last weekend. The veteran linebacker began the fall on the physically unable to perform list after undergoing an offseason knee scope. He had been listed as questionable after making his debut midway through October versus the Houston Texans.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- QB Drake Maye (knee)
- WR Kendrick Bourne (knee)
Jets
- TE Tyler Conklin (hip)
- TE Kenny Yeboah (abdomen — IR return)
- LB Chazz Surratt (heel)
- CB D.J. Reed (groin)
Two continued to practice on full in Foxborough while managing knee ailments. And while Maye completed 70.3 percent of his passes for 276 yards and a pair of touchdowns last Sunday morning, Bourne saw his most extensive workload out wide since being activated from the PUP list.
