Game statuses for Thursday’s 8:15 p.m. ET AFC East kickoff at MetLife Stadium.
The New England Patriots will head to East Rutherford down two starting offensive linemen.
Left tackle Vederian Lowe and left guard Sidy Sow have been ruled out for Thursday’s matchup with the New York Jets. Both blockers remained sidelined throughout the short week of walkthrough practices due to respective knee and ankle injuries.
Defensive captain Ja’Whaun Bentley and fellow linebacker Oshane Ximines also won’t make the AFC East road trip after departing from what became a 23-20 overtime loss in the home opener.
Here are the rest of the game statuses leading up to the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff at MetLife Stadium.
OUT
Patriots
- OT Vederian Lowe (knee)
- G Sidy Sow (ankle)
- LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (shoulder)
- LB Oshane Ximines (knee — injured reserve)
Jets
- LB Jermaine Johnson (Achilles)
Sow last practiced in August due to an ankle injury in the sustained in the preseason finale. His absence from the left guard spot led to back-to-back standard elevations and starts for recent 53-man promotion Michael Jordan. As for the blindside, Lowe began 2024 with an abdomen issue and saw 65 offensive snaps last weekend against the Seattle Seahawks before exiting with a knee injury. He was replaced at left tackle by No. 68 overall pick Caedan Wallace. But it was a matchup that Ximines, who has since been placed on injured reserve, and Bentley were ruled out of early on. The latter linebacker reportedly suffered a torn pec after three consecutive 100-tackle campaigns. An expanded role is ahead for off-the-ball veteran Raekwon McMillan.
QUESTIONABLE
Patriots
- OT Mike Onwenu (wrist)
- C David Andrews (hip)
- DE Deatrich Wise Jr. (shoulder)
- S Jabrill Peppers (shoulder)
Jets
- LB C.J. Mosley (toe)
Four Patriots, including a trio of captains, stand as questionable for the divisional meeting. Each of whom finished preparations for the Jets as limited participants. But starting right guard Layden Robinson, outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings and nickelback Marcus Jones will go without game designations. The same cannot be said for Mosley on the other side of the aisle. The five-time Pro Bowler did not practice on Wednesday due to a toe injury. He moves forward as questionable for the Jets.
