Game statuses for Week 6 at Gillette Stadium.
The New England Patriots will host the Houston Texans without Rhamondre Stevenson.
Due to a foot injury, the starting running back remained sidelined for three consecutive practices before officially being ruled out on Friday. Eleven others in Foxborough enter the weekend as questionable.
Here’s the rest of the game statuses heading into Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at Gillette Stadium.
OUT
Patriots
- RB Rhamondre Stevenson (foot)
Texans
- WR Robert Woods (foot)
- CB Kamari Lassiter (shoulder)
- S Jimmie Ward (groin)
Stevenson turned 16 touches into 92 yards last Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, notching his third touchdown of the season in the process. The lead back left the field under his own power after being attended to by the training staff late in the 15-10 loss. He hasn’t returned since then. In his absence, the 53-man depth chart includes veterans Antonio Gibson and JaMycal Hasty. Additional rushers in Kevin Harris and Terrell Jennings reside on the practice squad. “We’ll see what happens today and going forward, but I feel confident about the backs,” head coach Jerod Mayo said during his Friday press conference. “Gibby, Hasty and we’ll figure out who we’re going to elevate after that.”
QUESTIONABLE
Patriots
- WR Kendrick Bourne (knee)
- WR KJ Osborn (shoulder)
- G Layden Robinson (ankle, wrist)
- C Nick Leverett (ankle)
- LB Anfernee Jennings (shoulder)
- LB Sione Takitaki (knee — PUP return)
- CB Marcus Jones (groin)
- CB Marco Wilson (groin)
- CB Isaiah Bolden (hamstring)
- S Kyle Dugger (ankle)
- LS Joe Cardona (calf)
Texans
- RB Joe Mixon (ankle)
- DT Kurt Hinish (calf — IR return)
- DE Derek Barnett (shoulder)
Osborn and Dugger continued in a limited capacity on Friday after sitting out all of last week and going to the inactives 90 minutes prior to kickoff. The veteran starters at wide receiver and safety move forward among the questionable while dealing with respective shoulder and ankle injuries. And at long snapper, a calf issue also saw Cardona added to the partial participants as a specialist returned to the practice squad. Elsewhere, New England’s head coach noted that Takitaki “has a chance” to be activated from the physically unable to perform list for the matchup with Houston. The March arrival in the linebacker room recently saw his 21-day practice window open while working back from an offseason knee scope. He had previously carried a doubtful game designation.
