The 2023 NFL Draft is just months away, and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers should be one of the first players selected in the big event. The soon-to-be first-round pick is currently in Vegas leading up to the Super Bowl and took some time to speak with Mike Florio and Chris Simms of Pro Football Talk. While on the air, the topic of his NFL future came up, and the duo asked where he wants to play in the NFL.
Top prospects receive various versions of this question all the time, and most usually avoid the topic altogether by talking about how they’re just excited for the opportunity to play in the league. Brock Bowers defied this trend, as the NFL Draft prospect said he wanted to play with the Tennessee Titans.
Usually players are tight-lipped on this question. But we asked Brock Bowers who he wants to play for:

“I’d be alright with going to the Tennessee Titans,” Bowers said. “I liked it down in the Georgia-Tennessee area. I thought it was cool, that would be a cool spot to be.”
Brock Bowers Gives His Preferred NFL Home
Brock Bowers likes the Tennessee area, but that probably isn’t the only factor driving this decision for the NFL Draft hopeful. Former Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan is officially head coach and Bowers would probably like the opportunity to work with a coach who got so much out of young talents in Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins, and Ja’Marr Chase. This also implies that Bowers is a fan of second-year quarterback Will Levis. While the jury is still out on whether or not he can be a true franchise quarterback, he showed some promise during his rookie season and could thrive with Callahan as his head coach.
Brock Bowers might want to join the Titans, but Tennessee might choose a different path in the NFL Draft. While this team desperately needs weapons, they also have perhaps the worst offensive line in the game. With tight end being more of a luxury position, the Titans could easily go with the best tackle left on the board. However, even though the Titans might be his first choice, Bowers also spoke glowingly about one other team.

Several NFL mock drafts have connected Brock Bowers with the Los Angeles Chargers, and it’s good to see that the Georgia product is excited about the potential connection. Currently holding the fifth pick in the draft, Los Angeles desperately needs another reliable weapon for Justin Herbert, especially since Keenan Allen and Mike Williams could both be cap casualties. Of course, the Chargers have the fifth-overall pick, which is probably the earliest Bowers could go off the board. The top four players are more or less set with Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels, and Marvin Harrison Jr. After that, it’s anyone’s guess, which means Bowers could fall to any of the following teams.
Other Potential Draft Fits
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints have no choice but to stick with Derek Carr for at least one more season. While fans of the team might be rooting for a rebuild, Dennis Allen knows that he needs to win now if he wants to keep his job, so he should try to create a team that can win with Carr at quarterback. The former Raider was at his best when he had Darren Waller, and Bowers can fill that role in the Saints offense. Historically speaking, young tight ends need a year or two before they’re ready to contribute at the NFL level, but perhaps the recent success of Sam LaPorta can signal a new wave of pro-ready tight ends.
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders have their head coach of the future in Antonio Pierce, and now it’s time for him to build a roster in his image. If the Raiders are unable to trade up for a quarterback, then they might as well surround whichever veteran they end up signing with as much talent as possible. Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers form one of the better wide receiver duos in the league, and Michael Mayer showed some promise as a rookie. Adding Brock Bowers to the mix would give the Raiders four players who can get open on any given play, and you need that type of firepower to keep up with the Kansas City Chiefs.
New England Patriots*
This one comes with an asterisk, as the Patriots will not draft Brock Bowers with the third-overall pick. However, if they’re not in love with Jayden Daniels or Drake Maye, they could easily trade back with a quarterback-needy team like the Atlanta Falcons. Nobody likes tight ends more than New England, and that will still be the case even without Bill Belichick. Brock Bowers has an incredible ceiling and should be the best tight end for the Patriots since Rob Gronkowski.
