The New England Patriots have played much better over these past three weeks, winning two of their last three. But that may not be enough for head coach Bill Belichick to save his job.
According to Mike Giardi of the Boston Sports Journal, Belichick has “has expressed doubt about his future in New England to the staff at various points over the last few weeks.” Per the report, Belichick has not discussed his future with Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
“Speaking of Belichick, he has expressed doubt about his future in New England to the staff at various points over the last few weeks. To the best of my knowledge (and as reported on NFL Network this weekend), he has yet to sit down with ownership. If he won’t survive, I think this is a massive misstep by RKK/JKK,” Giardi wrote.
Belichick has refused to address his job status publicly amid the team’s 4-11 record. One more loss would officially be the Patriots’ most losses in a single season since Belichick took over the team back in 2000.

The Patriots’ final two games will be against the rival Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets. But if this really is Belichick’s final year with the team, the Patriots are not planning on doing any sort of celebration or departure ceremony.
Will these final two games really be Belichick’s last with the Patriots?
