It sounds like the San Francisco 49ers could trade All-Pro wide receiver Deebo Samuel to the AFC.
On Friday morning, NFL insider Josina Anderson revealed that the New England Patriots have interest in Samuel. In fact, they had “preliminary trade discussions” with the 49ers.
If the Patriots want to acquire Samuel, they may need to outbid a division rival.
According to longtime NFL reporter Mike Giardi, the Buffalo Bills have also expressed interest in Samuel.
“Lot of talk about Brandon Aiyuk possibly being moved, but league sources indicate Deebo Samuel is more likely to be traded, and that two of the teams at the top of round two – Buffalo and New England – have interest in the player,” Giardi said.
San Francisco columnist Mike Silver expects the 49ers to trade Samuel. He said the team is “seeking second- and third-round selections” for the South Carolina product.
The Bills have a need at wideout, especially since Stefon Diggs is out of the picture. The Patriots, on the other hand, may have the worst group of skill position players in the league.
All we have to do is sit back and see which team makes the best offer to the 49ers.
