Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski believes he has an idea of who his former team would like to replace Bill Belichick with should they decided to move on.
Appearing on “FOX NFL Sunday,” Gronk was asked about his ex-coach during “Jay Glazer’s Coaching Carousel” segment and here’s what he had to say:
There’s only a lot of smoke because of the New England Patriots’ situation. And there will be fire if Coach Belichick is gone. Mr. Kraft will get on the phone with the Tennessee Titans organization and figure out a way to get Mike Vrabel to be the head coach of the New England Patriots.
There could be a lot of changes around the league coming soon. Let’s check in with @JayGlazer‘s Coaching Carousel about those possible changes

Rumors have surfaced that Vrabel is unhappy with his situation in Tennessee. However, the coach attempted to dispel any of those notions in a recent story by NFL.com.
“If we believed everything that was on social media, it’d be Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny and there’s no tooth fairy, you know that,” Vrabel said. “So, I really have never responded to any of those. And we’re not going to start now… Of course, I want to be here. Be here as long as we can win, as long as we can do this thing, and it’s been great.”
It’s only logical that the Pats would show an interest in Vrabel if he’s open to leaving his current gig. But that remains to be seen as of right now.
