Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse for the 2023 Patriots, it was announced Thursday that Bill Belichick’s squad has been flexed out of “Monday Night Football” for Week 15.
The Patriots were initially set to face the Chiefs on Dec. 18 That game was going to be nationally televised on ESPN.
Instead of putting the Patriots on national television, the NFL decided to shift the Eagles-Seahawks game into that slot for Week 15.
This is the first time “Monday Night Football” has ever flexed out a game. That’s unfortunate history for the Patriots.
“How pathetic. Another low… that’s how bad you suck,” Michael Felger of 98.5 The Sports Hub said. “That’s embarrassing.”

We can’t blame the NFL for flexing out the Patriots. They’re 2-9 heading into this weekend’s game against the Chargers.
At this point, the Patriots seem destined to have a top-three pick in next year’s draft.
