The New England Patriots lost to the San Francisco 49ers by a 30-13 score on Sunday.
It was a rough day for the Patriots on both sides of the ball. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett struggled once again on the day, going 19-of-32 passing for 168 yards, a touchdown and an interception. The Patriots could not get anything going on the ground, either, as Rhamondre Stevenson carried the ball 13 times for only 43 yards.
It was another disappointing outing for the Patriots’ receivers with the unit mustering a combined 57 receiving yards. Running back Antonio Gibson was the team’s leading wideout, as he caught three passes for 67 yards. If anything, this game was a microcosm of the inconsistencies that have been plaguing the Patriots all season.
The Patriots dropped to 1-3 on the season with the loss. They’ll try to turn things around with three of their next four games being at home.
