New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and guard Layden Robinson both made ESPN’s Ben Solak’s All-Rookie Second-Team for the 2024 season.
Maye started in only 12 games, and he recorded 2,276 passing yards, 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He took over the starting job on October 13 against the Houston Texans and never looked back, despite a lackluster offensive line and receiving corps.
Robinson appeared in 13 games for the Patriots in 2024 and started in 11 of them. He took 603 offensive snaps, which accounted for 74 percent of the overall snaps. He worked his way into the Patriots’ offensive line rotation with the team desperately searching for consistency along the offensive front.
The future for the Patriots will all come down to the offense and overall development of Maye. Robinson’s growth will factor into that evolution on an offensive line unit that proved to be the Achilles heel for the Patriots last season.
If the Patriots can improve in the trenches, everything else will follow.
