After spending over a decade in the NFL, defensive back Logan Ryan has decided it’s time to start the next chapter of his life.
On Tuesday morning, Ryan announced his retirement from the NFL. He’ll leave the game behind as a two-time Super Bowl champion.
“Thank you to all my family, friends and teammates for the guidance and support,” Ryan wrote on X. “Thanks to the fans for watching! Won 2 Super Bowls and got out happy and healthy to be the best father for my children! Thanks again for 11 seasons! Cheers to what’s next.”
Ryan started his career with the New England Patriots in 2013. It wasn’t until the 2017 offseason that he signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Tennessee Titans.
After three seasons in Nashville, the veteran from Rutgers joined the New York Giants. He then had brief stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco Giants.
In 154 career games, Ryan had 755 total tackles, 98 passes defended, 19 interceptions and 15 forced fumbles.
Ian Rapoport hinted that fans will see Ryan fairly soon despite his retirement from the NFL. He posted this cryptic message on social media: “My guess is you’ll see plenty of him in the public eye moving forward.”
There are plenty of fans, especially in New England, eager to see what’s next for Ryan.
