Do yourself a favor while you’re watching the Red Sox game this afternoon and look at the calendar between every inning. It’s February 23. It doesn’t matter if Garrett Crochet walks four batters, gives up a homer, and hits the bat boy sitting next to the on-deck circle. It doesn’t matter if Alex Bregman strikes out twice, boots a ball, and challenges Raffy Devers to a mud-wrestling contest to claim the third base position. None of it matters!
But it sure as hell is fun to see both of the big offseason acquisitions on the field at the same time.
