Game 144: Red Sox vs. Orioles

What’s in store for us tonight?

Things don’t look great when your favorite team gets clobbered by the White Sox on a Sunday afternoon. Talk about a Monday hangover! But the beauty of baseball is that there’s a fresh game on the schedule so let’s not make any assumptions and let this play out.

My friend who isn’t particularly a Sox fan so his emotions haven’t gotten in the way, “wagers” that the Sox are poised to take advantage of plenty of opportunities tonight. (Have I couched that sufficiently? Don’t go ruining his odds or he’ll never share anything with me again!) Cade Povich (notorious for letting a lot of traffic on the bases) faces off against Brayan Bello (who’s made some recent strides toward figuring things out on the mound). If only the anemic Sox offense can take advantage of those opportunities! We shall see.
