Let’s just try to enjoy ourselves, huh?
It’s s pretty much over folks. Not even a heroic (yeah, I said it!) spot start from Richard Fitts could save the Red Sox, who now sit 4.5 games behind the last AL Wild Card slot with, crucially, two teams ahead of them in the hunt.
But Yankee games — even nausea-inducing games won via late-inning grand slams by the potential MVP — are intense and fun in their own, sickening way. So with that said, I’m kinda glad we have another one today, even if I’m not expecting much out of the depleted good guys.

If anyone can get Rafael Devers out of his slump, it’s Gerrit Cole.
