Devers is done. So is the season. Yet the games continue. Or not.
The game was canceled on account of rain, sorry folks. This was what I wrote before that happened and will largely apply to tomorrow:
The Red Sox, without Rafael Devers for the rest of the year and more or less officially out of it, begin the process of playing out the string this afternoon against Minnesota.
Yes, the franchise player is out. That’s bad. But that puts Trevor Story in the cleanup spot, which, you know, feels good. Not unlike the blue and yellow jerseys that they’ll rock:

To be completely honest, I’ve never had a bad word for the Twins and won’t say one now. If it’s not us it might as well be them. That’s good news, because it sure seems like it is not us and is them. Namaste. Pats stink, go Celtics.
