Can the Sox get past Addison Barger and Bowen Francis? The world wonders.
The season is not over, it’s just a little airborne. It’s still good!

Ah well, nevertheless, the Red Sox can get to a whopping two games above .500 in their quixotic quest to make the dance tonight in Toronto behind Brayan Bello (7:07 p.m., NESN).
As is custom, the Red Sox provided a lineup of players they planned to use in the game prior to first pitch, giving us a rare “behind the scenes” of the Big Game:

We joke about the Sox being stuck in the mud but even this game is far more consequential than any game in almost three calendar years so that’s cool. The Blue Jays have some jamokes out there and the Sox should beat them:
9/24 Toronto Blue Jays Lineup:
1 RF George Springer
2 LF Nathan Lukes
3 DH Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
4 1B Spencer Horwitz
5 C Alejandro Kirk
6 3B Addison Barger
7 SS Ernie Clement
8 2B Davis Schneider

“Addison Barger” and “Bowden Francis” are the main characters in a lacrosse-themed melodrama, imho. Don’t even get me started on Joey Loperfido. Vladdy is cool though. But whatever, let’s see Paul Allen’s card.
