Boston looks to reclaim its high water mark on the season at three games over .500.
Garrett Crochet takes the mound for the Sox tonight looking to stay undefeated on the road, where he currently holds a 1.33 ERA and has held opponents to a .356 OPS.
It’s a sneaky important game for the Sox to grab because even though they will have the fortune of missing Chris Bassitt and Kevin Gausman in the series, it’s likely to be by far their most favorable pitching matchup with Lucas Giolito making his season and Red Sox debut tomorrow, and Tanner Houck slated to go on Thursday. A win here would also push them to 3-1 on the road trip against a couple of competitive teams.
With Crochet on the mound, we even get a special shout out from the MLB account tonight. They’re ready to go!
