It’s a long offseason, folks
TGIF.
We made it to the weekend. Well, almost.
We’re closer to February than December now, which means Spring Training is rushing towards us!
The Red Sox are doing…kinda well in some projection systems. The rotation and bullpen are strong on paper if (huge IF) people are healthy.
The farm system is really good with potential help on the way as soon as you can dream. Might a prospect break camp with the big league team? It’s not impossible. And while we would all like to see Breslow pull a rabbit out of his hat with a signing the opportunity for that was with pitching and they didn’t do it. Is a longterm deal for Alex Bregman worth it when Roman Anthony or Kristian Campbell could be ready to perform at or above his level in June?
At the very least, unless the Blue Jays end up with Roki Sasaki the rest of the AL East did the Sox some favors. Even the Yankees spending spree took a superstar bat and replaced him with Max Fried and Cody Bellinger who are very good (well, at times with Bellinger) but not the Soto-Judge one-two punch.
Talk about what you want, stay warm, and be good to one another.
