But where will he play…
Happy Tuesday.
Alex Bregman is officially on the Red Sox and Rafael Devers has thoughts.
Thoughts but not words.
Updated story on Devers’ refusal to move off third with comments from him and from Cora.
“They asked me the question about how I feel about DH and, yeah, I gave them the answer I just gave: No.”
Asked if he wanted a trade: “That’s a tough answer to give”

Positionally he sure is a third baseman.
He stands on the left side of the infield.
Plays the hot corner.
Is the last stop before home plate.
Since 2022, #RedSox newcomer Alex Bregman has 16 outs above average. Among all qualified #MLB third basemen in that time that ranks 7th best.
Over that same span Rafael Devers has a -16 OAA, which ranks 3rd from the bottom.

But it looks like Spring Training can’t be conflict free. Even though this probably blows over shortly. If only they had just signed Mookie Betts, who can actually play multiple positions…
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
