The weather is not supposed to be a major component of baseball analysis. So thank god the Red Sox are heading out of Boston, trapped as it is by a dreary blanket of lingering winter, and heading to (checks schedule) … uhh, Chicago. Ok, never mind, looks like game time temperature tonight could again be around 40. But hey, at least the Sox are now cold weather winners after salvaging the last game of the series against the Blue Jays.
And by the way, if you’re in the market for new digs, Larry Lucchino’s house in Chestnut Hill is for sale, and all proceeds are going to charity. And in case this wasn’t obvious, yes, Larry Lucchino did have one hell of a bar setup:

Given the dreary weather, I wouldn’t mind pouring something brown and taking it into the library this afternoon:

And look: baseball wasn’t the only stick-and-ball sport he was into. That’s a cricket bat and a hurling stick (which Google tells me is called a “hurley”) hanging on the wall:
