Your place for Red Sox discussion
Good morning! It’s April 25, 2025 and, at this precise moment in time, there are currently 11 teams in the American League that have won between 12 and 15 games. The early part of the season is conducive to some bunching like this, of course. But in the National League, there are only four teams between the 12 and 15 win mark, while there are five teams that have won more games than any AL club (the Mets, Padres, Giants, Dodgers, and Cubs).
This is MLB’s mediocrity era — exacerbated by the totally unnecessary expanded playoff system — and it’s particularly bad in the AL. Which means the Sox, along with most of the Junior Circuit, are likely going to remain in the postseason mix for the whole season. Buckle up.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
