Can Mike Timlin still pitch?
Happy Thursday.
The Red Sox lost another one to Ditech.
Boston is 29-32 at Fenway Park and 34-24 on the road. Remember when Fenway used to be an advantage?
Record falls to 63-56, and with a win from the Kansas City Royals, the Sox are 2.0 games back in the Wild Card again.
They embark on a road trip that includes four games against the Baltimore Orioles and three against the Houston Astros who just completed an embarrassing sweep at Fenway Park. The bright side? That ends the brutal stretch. If they can avoid two sweeps over the next seven games they might still be in this thing.
Who will pitch?
Well, Byung-Hyun Kim is less than a year older than Rich Hill, who the Sox scouted just last week. Give him a call!
Remembering 2004
Game 119: Boston wins 6-4 over the Toronto Blue Jays to improve to 67-52 as Tim Wakefield tossed an eight-inning gem and Keith Foulke closed it out. Someone named Earl Snyder played third base for the Red Sox. Where was he on Opening Day for the 20 year anniversary celebration? Did he get a World Series ring? He went 1-4 in his only appearance for the Red Sox.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
