Now win today to take this series!
Happy Wednesday.
After giving up several leads last night it looked like another game was going to slip away from the Red Sox. But somehow the team held firm in the end and beat the Houston Astros. At 66-59 the Sox are 7.0 back in the AL East and 3.5 games back in the Wild Card. The Kansas City Royals and Minnesota Twins are tied ahead of Boston now.
It’s a getaway day today… 2:10 PM ET start time. And then tomorrow is finally an off day. The Red Sox host the Arizona Diamondbacks and Toronto Blue Jays before heading to Michigan to face the Detroit Tigers. So the next stretch of games – the Dbacks are in the Wild Card hunt but not a powerhouse – are a tad more manageable.

Game 125: The Red Sox took this one from the Jays 11-5 with 4 of the Jays runs coming off Terry Adams in 1.1 innings of work. Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, and Orlando Cabrera all homered in the game.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
