A little history
Happy Monday.
Oof.
Well, there are four games with the Toronto Blue Jays coming up. It’s here: a must-sweep series.
The Red Sox are now 67-62, 9.0 games back in the AL East, 4.5 games out in the Wild Card, 24.9% FanGraphs odds to make the postseason.
Danny Jansen will make history at 2:10 PM ET today.
Remembering 2004
Game 127: 5-3 win over the Detroit Tigers. 74-53. Ricky Gutiérrez and Gabe Kapler each stole a base!
Game 128: 5-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. 75-53. Pedro Martinez outdueled Jeremy Bonderman. Remember him?
Game 129: A trend…6-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. 76-53. The 2004 club didn’t lose their 62nd game until game 153. It’s probably out of reach. But the dream of a wild card is still alive.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
