If only the bats didn’t sleep Monday…
Happy Wednesday.
With a win last night the Red Sox are now 68-64. They’re 9.5 games back in the AL East and 4.0 in the Wild Card. The Kansas City Royals have caught the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central so with KC flying high and Cleveland playing poorly maybe the door is just a crack open still. Boston still needs to keep winning against Toronto, then the Detroit Tigers, and then the Mets and White Sox. Do all that and you’ve played yourself into at least respectability again.
Remembering 2004
Game 132: A 4-3 win over the Anaheim Angels. Derek Lowe tossed 7.1 innings while allowing three runs to pick up the win while Bartolo Colon gave up 4 runs in 4.2 innings. Vlad Sr. went 1-4 with a run scored for Anaheim.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
