He’s the ace?
Happy Thursday.
Now that’s the type of start we’ve all been waiting to see from Brayan Bello.
Eight innings of shutout baseball with 9 strikeouts against 1 single walk. Only two hits. Dominance. And obviously no home runs.
The Red Sox improved to 69-64 and sit just 3 games back in the Wild Card again.
They have one more game against the Toronto Blue Jays before shipping off to Detroit to face the Tigers. It is not a getaway game. Regular 7:10 PM ET start time.
Remembering 2004
Game 133: The Sox topped the Texas Ranger 2-0 to improve to 80-53 on the season. (remember when the 2024 Sox were playing at the same pace as 2004…yeah…). John “wayback” Wasdin was outdueled by the great Pedro Martinez. That incredible Rangers infield…Mark Teixeira, Michael Young, Hank Blalock, and Alfonso Soriano had just two hits and a walk on the day.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
