The Sox clash with the Royals
Happy Monday!
The Red Sox won yesterday afternoon bringing their record to 59-51, 6.5 games back in the AL East and 2.5 back in the Wild Card. They now play three games against the Kansas City Royals. And then the Houston Astros. This is (possibly) the season. Right here. The next few weeks. Win series and stay alive.
Per NESN, Cora told WEEI in their pre-game show he texted Eovaldi the starting lineup around midnight, knowing ever-competitive Eovaldi would stay up even later thinking over his plan of attack

In the words of Terry Tate: Office Linebacker…Mind games.
Remembering 2004
Game 108: The Red Sox won 7-4 as Pedro Martinez out-dueled Jeremy Bonderman. Dave Roberts playe right and left field, had 2 hits, 2 RBIs, a walk, and scored a run. New guy Orlando Cabrera stole a base. 59-49.
Game 109: Another win! This time 11-9. Tim Wakefield allowed six home runs in this wild game but 2 homers from Kevin Youkilis and one from Big Papi helped counteract the damage. 60-49.
Game 110: A loss to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. John Hamala out-pitched Curt Schilling. Gabe Kapler hit a home run. The entire lineup aside from David Ortiz reached base. Future Red Sox Julio Lugo had 3 hits. 60-50.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
