Prepare for another big one
Happy Thursday.
After watching the Bobby Witt, Jr. show last night the Red Sox are off today to prepare for a home series against the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers.
At 61-52 they’re back to 1.5 games out of the Wild Card and 6.0 games in the division.
Remember Vaughn Grissom?
Well he might be back. Or get optioned to the minors as his rehab assignment comes to a close. The Sox could use the boost from him at second base but maybe he’s just not ready to be a full time big leaguer with all the injuries this year?

It is a big day for the 23-year-old infielder as he wraps up his 20th (and final) day of a rehab assignment, meaning tomorrow Boston will have to add him to the active roster or option him to the minors. pic.twitter.com/nCmkEIztk2

Remembering 2004
Game 113: The Sox took this one from the Rays 6-0 behind a Pedro Martinez complete game. Six hits and 10 strikeouts. Vintage Pedro. Everyone in the starting lineup had at least one hit and Kevin Youkilis launched a home run.
