Make it stop
Happy Tuesday.
Changing GMs didn’t change one thing: the Red Sox are now apparently a four month team. April, May, June, and July. Then hope people follow the Patriots and don’t notice the collapse. The record? 70-68. Need 9 wins this month to improve on the last two years.
The playoffs? A longer shot every day.
What’s left to watch? Trevor Story is rehabbing and might return before the end of the season. Maybe Liam Hendricks pitches in the bullpen as a 2025 preview?
Maybe they rebound just enough that the Netflix show ends on a positive note?
Remembering 2004
Game 138: The Red Sox topped the Oakland A’s 8-3 to improve to 84-54. Pedro Martinez tossed six scoreless innings while Tim Hudson was knocked around for 7 runs in just 3.0. Jason Varitek and Orlando Cabrera each collected two hits.
There’s another game with the Mets tonight.
Talk about what you want and be good to one another.
