The Sox face the Tampa Bay franchise in its namesake city for the first time ever.
The Red Sox, fresh off an exhilarating Garrett Crochet-backed win to snap them back to life, head to honest-to-dog Tampa, Florida tonight for a tilt against the Rays (7:05 p.m., NESN).
The Rays are, of course, playing at Steinbrenner Field at the Yankees’ Spring Training complex, so screw them even more than usual, though it’ll be nice to see them play outside, or at least not in a busted airplane hangar of a building. Tanner Houck goes for the Sox against Shane Baz for the Rays.
