When imagining a Red Sox–White Sox matchup in 2025, you might have figured that the game would have some juice thanks to Garrett Crochet and Kyle Teel facing each other. But it’s Chase Meidroth, not his fellow trade piece Teel, who has made it to the Majors first. Meidroth was promoted from AAA last night and will presumably make his MLB debut some time this weekend. Meanwhile, Garrett Crochet isn’t the only former White Sox All-Star the Sox have added this year. Following the injury to Connor Wong, the Sox inked Yasmani Grandal to a minor league deal. Giolito has plenty to prove when he does return — not only that he’s healthy, but that he can bounce back rom his ugly performance in 2023, his last full season.
