We are so back.

Crochet, 25, struck out 209 batters in 146 innings in his first season as a starter with a 3.58 ERA, and is as close to a clone of the young Chris Sale as you’re likely to find. He drew interest from across the league this offseason, with some (loser) teams complaining that the White Sox’s asking price was too high.
The marquee name going back is catching prospect Kyle Teel, the loss of whom blows a giant hole in Boston’s long-term strategy at catcher, Connor Wong aside. Teel was the No. 4 Red Sox prospect, per SoxProspects.com, with Montgomery, Meidroth and Gonzalez checking in at 5, 8, and 18, respectively.
The move ends not just an offseason’s worth of seemingly empty promises but several years’ worth of playing coy in the face of contention; this is a win-now move. Expect more as the winter continues. We are, to be clear, so back.
