The Boston Red Sox make many transactions. A shocking number of them, especially this time of year, are for players of whom you’ve never heard. Introducing: Two transactions and a lie, the ONLY game that tests your knowledge of, uh, Red Sox transactions. [Extreme dad voice] Let’s rock and roll!
Transaction 1: Edgar Vicioso, a 20-year-old starting pitcher from the Dominican Republic, was officially assigned to the team. A potential two-way player, he had a 3.95 ERA in rookie ball last year while hitting three pinch hit home runs.
Transaction 2: Yohander Linarez, a 19-year-old Venezuelan third baseman, was officially officially assigned to the team. Formerly a shortstop, he hit .206/.267/.262 in rookie ball last year.
Transaction 3: First baseman Albert Feliz, from the Dominican Republic, 22, was officially assigned to the team. He hit .165/.253/.318 at Salem last year, with an incredible 118 strikeouts in 255 at-bats.
